What episode does Naruto confess to Hinata?

Naruto Uzumaki does not verbally confess his love to Hinata Hyuga in the main series, but their defining moment happens in Naruto: Shippuden Episode 166, titled "Confessions". In this episode, Hinata openly declares her love for Naruto while attempting to protect him from Pain during his assault on Konoha.

Hinata steps in to fight Pain when she sees Naruto pinned down and unable to defend himself. Despite knowing she stands no chance against Pain, she bravely fights to protect Naruto. During her emotional speech, she admits she has loved Naruto since childhood, inspired by his determination and unwavering spirit.

Although Naruto does not respond directly in this episode, Hinata’s confession deeply impacts him. After witnessing Pain seemingly kill her, Naruto loses control and transforms into his six-tailed form out of rage.

Later, Naruto and Hinata’s relationship fully blossoms in The Last: Naruto the Movie, which takes place after the events of Naruto: Shippuden. In this movie, Naruto finally realizes his feelings for Hinata and confesses his love to her. This leads to their first mutual romantic moment and eventual marriage.
