Why did Sasuke not attend Naruto's wedding?

Sasuke Uchiha did not attend Naruto Uzumaki’s wedding to Hinata Hyuga despite their deep bond. His absence was not due to a lack of care or respect but rather a mission of extreme importance.

At that time, Sasuke was on a self-imposed journey of atonement for his past actions. He had committed serious crimes against Konoha and sought to redeem himself by traveling the world, uncovering threats that could endanger the village. This mission was not assigned by the village but was something Sasuke undertook on his own.

One of his primary objectives was investigating remnants of Kaguya Otsutsuki and any potential dangers linked to her. He feared that other powerful Otsutsuki members could pose a significant threat, so he dedicated himself to learning more about their existence.

Despite his physical absence, Sasuke acknowledged the wedding. In “Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding”, he sent a letter to Naruto congratulating him. This gesture showed that he still deeply cared about his friend and wished him happiness, even if he could not be present.

Additionally, Sasuke was not someone who enjoyed social gatherings. His reserved nature made him more inclined to continue his mission rather than partake in celebrations, even one as important as Naruto’s wedding.

While some characters, such as Sakura Haruno, attended the wedding, she did not seem to hold resentment toward Sasuke for his absence. She understood his motivations and supported his path of redemption.
